1993 jeep cherokee problem - koustoncajun2010 - 08-09-2011 07:48 PM

was riding and the windsheild wipers stopped folowed by the blinkers and turn signals and radio turning off. Changed car battery. checked all fuses. try to start car nothing. Lights and horn work.

If the lights go off when you try to crank it you should check for poor connections and possibly check the battery itself. If that all checks good I would have a close look at the ignition switch. Basically following the power in and out of the switch to see where it stops.

Obviously you tried to post something but it did not come through.

Did you follow the power? Do you have power to the ingition switch? Does the power come back out in the various key positions? Can you check for power at the starter's small terminal when you are in the crank position? Could this be as simple as a bum starter?

I'll be away for a few days so hopefully the other moderators will chime in if you still need help.
