Cars got a chirp going on.
Don't know if its anything to really worry about but thought I would ask. I just replaced the struts, ball joint, tie rod end on my car. and now its kind of chirping when driving. should I worry or should it go away as everything gets broken in.

RE: Cars got a chirp going on.
Depends on where the chirping sound is from. If it happens when you are sitting still then it's probably not related to what you just worked on. Either way there's nothing to "break in" when you do front end repairs. Any noise you hear is likely related to something with the engine (fan belts?) or something that moves while you drive.

Let us know what you find and we can talk more.

RE: Cars got a chirp going on.
As a try to relate the two & taking a wild shot in the dark I can think of 2 things. Possibly bent the backing plate against the rotor while working in that area or knocked/dropped something between the backing plate and rotor? But; as Rupe said, if it happens while sitting still, that's not it.
