Tacoma wipers
1997 Tacoma wipers don't work on intermittent nor slow speed. Don't park. only work on high speed

If they stop in the mid stroke when you use them on high speed and the other settings don't work at all, I would go with a replacement wiper motor. The gadget that makes them "park" when you shut them off is inside the motor itself and most of the vehicles in the last 20 years also have the intermittent circuit on a PC board inside the motor. All that will come as an assembly when you get a rebuilt unit from your local parts store.

Oh, one word of caution: If you decide to remove the rotating arm from the new motor because it's easier then make sure you hold it steady with an adjustable wrench (or similar) while attacking the shaft nut. If you push against the motor shaft you may damage the internal gears, which will void the warranty.
