2009 Eclipse Spyder convertible interior mirror very loose
I've been searching for information or advice on how to tighten up my interior rear view mirror. It is very loose and wobbles out of place while driving. I am not having issues with the lights, they still work fine. I've only been able to find information for mirrors that attach to the glass but my mirror attaches to the frame of the car. I'm a little ambivalent to tinker with it too much due to the electrical attachment. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to disassemble and tighten it up without messing with the cables.
Thank you in advance for any helpful advice.

RE: 2009 Eclipse Spyder convertible interior mirror very loose
I hate to throw my hands up in the air, but I am having the same problem finding specific info. Reading between the lines, I see MANY replacements available on-line so it might be one of those things where they just wear out and there's nothing you can do besides replace it.

Obviously the wiring goes to a plug because they are never hardwired to the body harness, so disconnecting the plug would be my first task. At that point you can get the thing out of the car where you can examine it better.

Let us know where it goes from there because it may help others reading these pages.
