2015 camry airbag light stays on
The AAA Carcare mechanic said that my battery was bad, was spiking and drawing too much current from the alternator, which in turn caused a voltage drop. He insisted that when he replaced the battery, the light went out. I think this all a bunch of HUEY. If the battery was bad, a battery light would come on in the dash. If there was a voltage drop, it would affect the way the engine ran and the check engine light would come on. None of that was happening. Additionally, to my knowledge, changing the battery would not make the light go out. A scanner is used to reset the codes in order to shut off an airbag light that's on steady. Am I wrong or did I just got ripped off?

RE: 2015 camry airbag light stays on
Since it's rare that a battery will cause any dash lights to come on (or go off) I believe you will find the answer to your question when you go to a shop that can do a full scan and tell you why the light is on now and possibly any history about what lights may have been earlier.

BTW, disconnecting and installing a new battery usually does NOT erase trouble codes these days so there should be some history available.
