Hesitation in low RPM's

Rolleyes Hesitation in low RPM's
Year: 1991
Model: Integra GS
Engine Size: B18a1
Auto/Manual: Maunel
Mileage: 126,000

Off the line I lag, car shakes when I give it more gas (only in low RPM's), which tells me it's a fuel or air problem. I need to know the location of the fuel filter for my car and do you suggest it to be anything else?

RE: Hesitation in low RPM's
mine
1994 Integra LS
not sure model but 2.2 ltr vtec dohc
manual
96,988

my fuel filter is on the drivers side mid to bottom of the wall, in the line... alot easier to get to then my pump which is in the top of the tank... I don't think my filter is in the place it should be though... but check that area on yours it may be.

RE: Hesitation in low RPM's
come to think of it I had the same issue once and it eventually got to when the rpms leveled out and the lag died down It would die when I was stopped and idling... i have to change fuel filter, air filter, and the air flow sensor. Oddly the sensor wasn't thowing up any error codes...

RE: Hesitation in low RPM's
when the engine is <2k rpm's and i give the gas pedal more pressure (to accelerate faster or to go up a hill) the car hesitates and bucks until it gets >2k rpm's.

this a manual transmission. and it almost feels like when you're learning to drive stick for the first time and you're about to stall the car. also, if i go easy on the gas pedal, it's fine. the hesitation is not dependent on what gear i'm in... as long as the rpm's are <2k rpm and i give it more gas than normal, it will hesitate.

i plan on changing the plugs soon and using chevron fuel injection cleaner, but i'm not sure if this will fix my issue. any ideas as to what it might be???

btw, there are NO engine codes!
