Sad Vibration while accelerating.

My car is ES300 of 2003 with 144000 miles.
Of late I noticed moderatly severe vibrations while I am accelerating, 1200 RPM upwards. Vibration cease when I am cruising.

No vibrations during braking or deceleration.

My car has new tires all balanced.

RE: Vibration while accelerating.
I'm not aware of anything special concerning these cars but it would be helpful if you could pin this down between engine or driveline.

What I'm getting at is a possible skip in the engine under load versus a trany problem or perhaps something else. An engine skip under load might be simulated with sharp jabs of the gas pedal and may be stored as a trouble code in the ECM. Trany codes may also be in storage with no check engine light showing as well so perhaps a scan should be done just to rule those things out first.
