Tail light/CD Error/Speedometer
My tail light out indicator keeps coming on and stays on till I turn the car off. I checked all the back lights and it all works including the reverse light. The light will turn on as soon as I shift gear. Can this be an electrical problem? Also I am getting an error message for my cd player (ERR 14) Sad. And one more thing my speedometer sometimes don't work. That's why I wonder if this may be electrical.
Hope someone is able to help. 95 Lexus LS400.

RE: Tail light/CD Error/Speedometer
The CD player and the tail light issue are probably not related.

What I can tell you about the tail lights will likely be too easy and it's a common mistake. Most likely there is more than a single bulb for each side and you just happen to have one burned out bulb on each side so they both look the same. If you pull all of the bulbs for inspection you will find out for sure.

On the CD error code I see lots of hits out there on the web. The easiest way seems to be looking in the owner's manual as some have a list of what the code means. Some of the posts indicate certain brands of CDR discs being an issue while others point to the possibility there may be 2 discs in the same slot causing a mechanical jam. After that it may take a call to a dealer for something more specific.
