2002 wrangler turn signal problem
when I turned on the key, the right front ts would flash rapidly. none of the other ts bulbs would function.(left or right rear) I replaced one defective bulb.(right rear).same problem. I replaced the flasher (Haynes is useless when looking for the flasher). Now, when the key is turned on ,all ts lights stay on but don't flash. The hazards work, but there is a loud buzz when they are applied. Suggestions?????

Is there any incident that started this problem? Dead battery, Replace battery, etc.? Does it have an alarm system installed on the Jeep?

No alarm system, and according to the seller, the problem just started with no warning and no changes to the vehicle. ?????

Were was the flasher you replaced? The flasher for the hazards and the t/s is one in the same. It is called a combo flasher and plugs into the back of the turnsignal/multi-function switch on the steering column.

Yes,I finally found the combo flasher a few days ago and changed it. Haynes had the wrong location. With the new flasher, the symptoms continued. Turn signal bulbs lit without flashing when the key is on regardless of the position of the ts stick. Loud buzz when hazard button engaged.

I would disconnect the muti-function switch and see if the lights go out. It could be in the switch.

I removed the switch.I had to take out both switches and sticks, because Icouldn't figure out how to separate them (chinese puzzle). Anyway, when I removed the connector and hooked up the battery again,I have no lights.

If you disconnect the turnsignal/multi-function switch an the lights go out, I would say the switch is bad.

Thanks for your help. I ordered a new switch. I'll let you know if it works.
