voyager power
the 99 voyager with 2.4 engine [96,000 miles] has just started misfiring/backfiring when accelerated. when the dash light came on after 10 miles or so of this i had the codes read at advance auto.the only code was PO302-cylinder 2 misfire. i have replaced the single unit coil pack and all wires. advance auto cleared the codes at my request and i have the same issue after about 10 miles of driving but no light. i wonder if my catalytic converter is plugged. if it were one of the sensors wouldn't i be getting a code for that sensor?

RE: voyager power
I would do two things.....
Get the codes checked again, because not every problem will turn the dash light on. (and the other coils may be weak) Check the fuel pressure, because you are near time for a fuel pump or fuel filter. (if it has one) Let us know how you make out. |

RE: voyager power
I agree with what Rupe said but I also noticed that you don't have Plugs on your list. With a single cylinder misfire that would have probably been the first thing that I would have checked. If it hasn't had a set it's probably due anyway.
Let us know what you find. Thanks for using the forum, Garner Interested in Mining? Look here: Coal Mining, PA |
