I have a 2007 Saturn Outlook, Im having issues with the transmission. When the computer was scanned it came up with "Trans pressure switch solenoid C circuit stuck closed". I want to know if anyone can tell me what part I should order, because I'm completely lost, and if anyone knows how much it should cost me to get it replaced?

RE: Solenoid
Solenoids are usually not that hard to change and not all that expensive either ($25 - $50? plus fluid and gaskets) but knowing which one and exactly where it is might be another story.... AND.... it's something of a game because you will need to pull the trany pan and figure out if there is other damage before bothering with the "easy fix" so many people are looking for.

That said, depending on the exact issue you are having it's probably located on the valve body along with several others. In my experience with other products (GM and Nissan in my case) if you are changing one you should probably change the others because they will be close in wear. (gum and varnish issues too)

How much for a trany shop to do? Seeing as there are no Saturn dealers around these days I would make a few phone calls to local trany shops and see what they say. I'd also ask a few friends to find out who they have had a good experience with. Because parts will not come through the dealer channels these days it would also be a good idea to mention this and ask the shop where they may find the right parts.

Let us know how you make out.
