SPONGY BRAKES
I HAVE A 2000 VW BEETLE WITH SPONGY BRAKES. THE MASTER CYLINDER AND A WHEEL CYLINDER HAS BEEN REPLACED BUT THE BRAKES ARE STILL SPONGY. WHAT DO I NEED TO CHECK NOW

RE: SPONGY BRAKES
If all else is ok there's only 2 things that can cause spongy pedal. One is air in the system and the other is a bad flex line.

BTW, anything you do to one side should also be done on the other. Why would you only replace one wheel cyl when the other one is just as old and is used just as much? This is asking for trouble. ALWAYS do them in pairs!
