Is there a filter that would effect the air flow from my vents?

Pretty sure that car has a "cabin filter" for the HVAC system. GM has been using them for about 20 years in certain models. If it does, it's located just above and in between the gas pedal and the floor hump, and within the black plastic heater / AC case. You are looking for an access door that's maybe 3-4 inches wide and white in color. You may need to remove another cover to see it because it's WAY under the dash. I hear it's a roayal pain to change but most of that is because of the tight location. Pay attention to how the cover comes off and how the filter pulls out. It should be in 3 flexible sections and you may need a pair of pliers to help yank it out.
