1986 cavaleir 2.0 tbi 150k miles
i over heat at high speeds and when putting load on engine like going up large hills

compression is good no water in oil i have replaced thermostat 195 degrees and new heater core as well as hoses as it sits it should not over heat the fan woks but i do not no if it turning on properly but it does turn on

Sounds like the radiator may be partially clogged. Try turning the heater on at high blower speed to see if the temp drops. Using the heater core as a radiator. If it helps, I would say radiator.
