Brake dragging

Sad Brake dragging
I have a 98 nissan altima gxe - auto, from driving on hwy at 65mph and when i applied the brake to slow down, it drag. what cause does problem? and how do i correct it?Sad

Most likely old age. Here's what I would do... Jack up the car and with a helper turning each wheel by hand apply the brakes to make sure that each wheel stops and releases right away. Most likely you will find one or more that hang up. At that point you need to figure out if the problem is mechanical binding (frozen caliper / rusty hardware) or if the fluid pressue is holding things. You can open a bleeder or crack a line to figure that part out.

If it's a fluid pressure problem holding things it could be the flex lines or the brake pedal not fully returning. I have also seen where someone installed the wrong master cylinder and the push rod for that doesn't have the proper slack.

If you do anything at the wheels (calipers / brake pads / hoses) you should do both sides the ways way.
