sable transmission
My 1995 sable will not shift into 2nd and on up when it is cold. As soon as it warms up or shifts once it is fine. Any ideas?

RE: sable transmission
Try servicing the transmission. It could be as simple as old fluid that doesn't want to circulate properly in extreme cold weather.

Many of the quick lube shops offer this for cheap if you are not so inclined to do it yourself.

Of course in a vehicle of that vintage it could also be an early sign of something expensive lurking.

RE: sable transmission
Yes, a service may do the trick. Also a flush is good too. A trans flush with the proper machine will get about 95% of the old fluid out and replaced with new fluid. Add some seal conditioner.
