1992 GEO TRACKER
AS i SAID YESTERDAY i HAVE A 1992 GEO TRACKER, IT WOULDN'T STAY RUNNING UNLESS YOU PUMP THE HECK OUT OF IT WHILE IT WAS RUNNING, WELL TODAY I UNPLUGGED THE MAP SENSOR AND NOW IT IDLES AND EVERYTHING BUT IT IS SLUGGISH ACTING NOW, NOT SO RESPONSIVE . WHAT NOW?

By unplugging the map sensor you have created an artificially rich mixture. IOW, you are correcting for another problem.

Odds are you still have some sort of vacume leak or something else that's creating a lean condition.

BTW, a stuck EGR valve will act in a similar way.

I have forgotten when they switched over, Is that an injected engine or does it have a carb?
