PLEASE HELP!!! Window issues!
I have a 2010 Dodge Caliber. My front passenger window will not roll back up. I have searched other forums to no avail. I have taken the door panel off and tried to roll it up manually but it will not move. I was told it might be the switch so I bought a new switch and the switch isn't working. I've checked all my fuses and none of them are bad. I am in need to get this window back up ASAP before it snows again. I have no need to roll it back down once it is up. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Just need the window back up.

RE: PLEASE HELP!!! Window issues!
Electric windows are seldom on a fuse. Usually it's a circuit breaker. The first thing to do is find out if you have power going to that switch and then check for power (and ground) at the motor. If that checks ok then you either have a bad motor or something may be frozen due to the extreme weather. A hair drier may help thaw things. You might also try a few taps with a hammer on the motor cause it might have sticky brushes and more repairs can wait for a nice day.

Let us know what you find as it may help someone else.

It won't go up with either switch. What is the best way to check tif there is power going to the switch, and motor.

RE: PLEASE HELP!!! Window issues!
Use a test light or volt meter. If you are not sure how to do that then try the hammer.

If nothing else get a trash bag and some duct tape for the moment.
